SWF file too complicated to export into an AVI?

I created a little animation in flash that I wanted to upload to youtube. Generally, I save it as an AVI and upload it that way, because youtube doesn't support SWF files. But it's a movie clip with a motion guide, and when I exported it into an AVi file, the movie clip didn't play.
What can I do so that I can get the full animation up on youtube?

SWF files (flash files) use vector graphics meaning they use objects rather than pixels. You need to render and record the file to "export it to an AVI format".
