Can you ever think of food in India without mention of sweets food and
snack, all mouth watering varieties? When one speaks of food, one
generally means the cuisines specific to a region; in this aspect there
are so many regional variants of food in India that one is bound to fall
in a dilemma if at least ten of the varieties are served. Well, this is
about the meals. What about food items savored for fun or as supper or
with evening tea? Snacks and sweets fill the gap. There are countless
sweets food to choose from right from rasgulla, ghewar, malai chap,
rasmalai, kalakand, petha, pakija to bundi laddoo, chena toast, besan
laddoo, anurodh, paneer malai roll, barfi, shrikhand, chamcham, and the
list goes on. In most Indian households, sweets are a part of the menu.
These are savored after lunch or dinner or both and served with tea,
coffee, and other beverages. The snack industry in India has witnessed
increased momentum over the years with the sudden increasing demand for
snacks items. It is quite a normal affair for the corporate populace and
the common men to have snacks any time of the day and night. No wonder,
the snack industry in India will witness further rise.

Food in India is as diverse as the country itself. Foreign tourists have
left in their travelogues, blogs, and reviews extolling the food
varieties as well as the spicy, delicious, and yummy characteristics of
the same.
