Swapping SIM cards Fido?

okay well i found a phone without a sim card and it's with fido (same as me) so the SIM card fits so i'm wondering if i can just slip my SIM card in and use it as my own or do i need to call fido and tell them;; if i do will they find out and charge me since i found this phone ?
call and tell them as in saying
" I want to use this new phone i have"
 
No need to, just stick ur card in. My friend always give me there fido phone and we just switch. No need calling. Calling them will just cause random problems. For example, would you tell the police i found this wallet, can i use it??? In english, JUST USE IT =)
