Ok, so i've bought a new fish tank, this time i'm using gravel instead of sand - so I wont have to transfer the sand over because it doesn't carry much bacteria.
My old tank was a 40 liter, and this is a 60 liter.
So far, I've put 20 liters of treated tap water (not treated with ammo lock just tap water conditioner) into the tank with the well rinsed new gravel. And i've also put my plant in there and my ornaments without washing them first.
My heater is on and submerged in the water to warm it up and i'm planning on leaving it there until the morning to get the water warm, there isn't much in there at the moment to warm up so it shouldn't take long, also the gravel is a good absorber of heat and is quite warm from washing it.
So what do I need to do next? Put all my water from my old tank into the new one, and the filter also? Just making sure cos i've never changed my tank before and could use a bit of advice. So any would be very appreciated
