swapping iphone 4 simcard with nokia n95?

My dad is getting a new iphone 4 with his $49 cap plan and he wants to give the iphone 4 to me and keep his old nokia n95.

I am currently on prepaid. I know that the iphone simcard is smaller than a regular simcard, so i have to cut it down to iphone size.

so...

1) if i cut my current prepaid simcard down to iphone size, will it work in the iphone 4? or will i need to unlock it?
2) will the iphone 4 microsim swap into my dads nokia n95?

i'm really confused!
