Swap phone numbers between Orange and Vodafone?

My mum and I are swapping sim cards but would like to keep our original phone numbers so we don't have to tell everyone our new numbers. Is there a way around this?
 
Hi yes there is what you need to do is go to orange & get a PAC code (Port Authorisation Code) & give that code to vodafone & vice versa that way you can have the same no.s but on different networks these codes last for 30 days from when you get them so you have 30 days to give them to the different networks ... hope this helps
