SV650 electrical + Hello

Hi to all, new to forum. recently picked up an SV650 off a friend. The bike was treated well but I have run into electrical problems.
Hopeing someone can help me out or point me to where I could find help. While riding the gauges started to go a little haywire. When I came to an idle at a stop light it just died. Did the push of shame to the side of the road, and tried to start it and boom fired right back up. Sounds like a bad ground or something. I just downloaded the service manual but was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks for any help

It is a 00 - Battery was trickle charged and running strong for about 4 weeks. I will put a voltage meter on the battery when this freakin rain stops.

Thanks

I went through the bike this morning. The wires and everything is immaculate. I followed every wire I could see and didn't see any corrusion. The battery terminals are perfect, sanded them down but they really didn't need it. Had the voltage meter on the Battery disconnected and it read 12.4 had it on there while she was running and connected and it read 13.9 which I think is still all within spec >12 -

thats the tip over sensor, I was just about to recomend checking that when Iread that post. this is the same thing that happened to mine. make sure that box is upright and attached to something and the arrow saying "this end up" is in fact correct.

oh yeah we do, found out the hard way, see his symptoms above. basically it would go sometimes but not others and shut off and stop and the dash would do odd things too. bike thought it was upside down i guess!
somehow I assume a rear shock conversion had taken place, or the battery box messed with or a new battery installed for that sensor to be removed and float around. I zip tied mine to the box since the box was modified substantially....
