Suzuki VZ800 Marauder 1998 overheating?

Hi All
Can anyone tell me if a suzuki vz800 has a thermostat (I am aware it has 2 sensors ie 1 for the overheating light and one for the fan). I have recently had problems with coolant boiling when the bike has been brought up to temperature and then the engine is swiched off (fan works etc), I have checked for leaks and there are none, and I have also bought a new radiator cap, (replaced oil of course (made sure was not a head gasket problem and coolant). I ask about the thermostat as it might be stuck open or closed, I have checked on ron ayers microfiche parts list and there is no thermostat shown, is this part of the water pump? Thanks pal, I wonder if its in the water pump, having looked at the blow up diagram via fiche it does not point to a thermostat and suzuki do not have a spare part for it???? am lost :0(
Thanks :0) I have spoken to several some say yay some say nay! the dealers in the north west of england do not have a clue:0( scary thing is suzuki technical support say it has one but cannot find the part number!
 
all liquid cooled models have a thermostat, any chance you've called the local suzuki dealer in your area? Most of my bike are liquid cooled and anytime they over heated was a stuck thermostat, closed or open when I took them apart. Look for where the temp sensor wires are, they should be right close to the thermostat unit.
