Suzuki VS800GL Engine Tuning Help?

So I've got a question regarding V-twin motorcycle engines and syncronizing the carbs. I've sync'd the carbs at idle and ensured the throttle cables are adjusted to an equal length. They pull an even amount of vacuum at idle, but when I raise the RPMs up one cylinder always pulls more vacuum than the other. Is that normal? When I ride the bike I can tell one cylinder is doing a little more work than the other. Is that kind of normal for a V-twin? I did a compression test and both cylinders were equal. How do I know if my sync job is correct? My maintenance manual is kind of vague on this subject.
