suzuki sv650s engine problems?

My Sv650s has had a recurring problem that has continually gotten worse in the last month. I usually drive 4 miles to work mon-fri with very few stops during the journey. When I get to a stop light at the end, the engine just shuts off. It refuses to start until it sits for about 5 mins. After about 5 mins, it starts up again, it runs fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
