front end judders when braking heavily, however it seems a little smoother if i let go of the brake lever then immediately apply the brake again.any suggestions?
DONT click on that link...
your discs/rotos are shafted...some are floating discs that do move slightly, others are solid...not sure about the srad...its deff a shafted disc, nothing else causes the front end to shake when breaking.
i'd say, there's a couple of things it could be.juddering would point to a warped,or uneven disc/s.also,there's an outside chance that the pistons could be partially seized in the brake callipers,
Sound like your fork head bearing, Bring it to a mechanic quick as if the bearing fails turning will be bloody hard, bloody being the word here, it's not expensive, cand be done in less then a couple of hours, bearing cost only a couple of pounds, labour, ask first how many hours and how much per hour.
