Suzuki Reno Engine Block heater?

I recently purchased a circulating engine block heater but have two questions regarding the install. This is on a 2007 suzuki reno. I have looked up the information on alldata, but the site only tells me how to replace the heater hose, not which one flows to or from the passenger cabin. The one on the left is on the same side as the water pump but there is no direct path. If i look at the engine from the grill perspective the waterpump is on the left of the engine which i am guessing is the output. Another problem is the pump says it needs to be 4 inches below the output from the heater core. My problem is that the heater hose goes directly up to the block with about a 30 degree deviation from the horizontal. Will this work or should I consider an alternative
