My brother has one - he picked it up the first week of January. I love the power, handling, and gearing of his bike but cant stay on it for too long. For some reason I get a cramp in my legs.
He hangs out over in the m90 forum @ m109riders.com. May be worth checking out if you havent already been over there. AFAIK hes one of the people w/ the most mods on em so far (sissy bar, bags, windshield, highway bars, aftermarket pegs/floorboards, accent lighting, hid light, lowering, etc)
Yeah, I know of a guy who just bought one and HAD to bring it to his old place of employment to SHOW IT OFF. I thought it was wayyyyy too much bike for him. He really should give it to his former boss.
I just bought one an brought it home Thursday. I love the power so far and I'm surprised that little headlight cover provides as much wind protection as it does. It will take a little getting used to the vibration of the bigger engine at low speeds, but it is fairly normal for a long strike V Twin. I've also noticed if you shift too early with very little throttle it sounds like the drive shaft is going to fall out the bottom of the bike. I will have to head for the M109 board to see if anybody else has this issue.
You know that you mention it, your absolutely right. If you shift early you get a nice knocking noise coming from the shaft. If you get an answer on that question I would love to know what thoughts come of this problem.
I can't say i have used its potential to the slightest yet im still breaking her in.
Good to hear it isn't just mine. I guess once it is broken in I will just have to keep beating the crud of it and then I won't have any of the issues.
I have a 2006 M50 and I am very interested in this m90.. I wish my bike had a little more power and especially a wider 5th gear.. the m50 sounds like it's winding out on the highway around 70-80mph.. how does the m90 do on the highway at 80mph?
Since mine is almost brand new I haven't broken 75 but I can tell you 80 will not be an issue. I will let you know after this weekend becuase I really haven't had a highway trip yet. The bike will shake more at 30 than 75 if that gives you any idea. More to follow after tomorrow I hope.
The Raider is a great looking bike. A large step up the pricing ladder. Will they let you test ride one?
In case you decide to go back towards the M90 I can tell you it will pull 90 mph without even trying. I slowed down after that I didn't want a huge ticket. I can also tell you it holds corners really well also. You can't lean it quite as far as the M50 but it holds the line much better.
