Check for cracks on the spark plug, could be shorting out. HT lead loose/broken connections rusty, wet. if condensation had got in to the tank it would affect both cylinders. Carb slider may be stuck open, flooding cylinder

i have a 2008. suzuki intruder 250, (6000km on the clock) after coming back from a 2 week holiday, the bike was left under a carport but with some wind rain could have gotten in. since returning the front cylinder is not firing correctly, its not doing any work. the bike will run but not idle on the rear cylinder alone. after running it for a while once the bike had heated up, i found blue flames coming from the exhaust, guessing unburnt petrol igniting on hot chrome. i have checked the plug in the front cylinder and it has spark. but im not really sure of what else to check. thinking it could be timing (firing to late) fuel to rich, or condesation has gotten into the tank, and it needs to be flushed, but if it is any of those problems, why is it only one cylinder?? could it be a airflow problem? or carby?? any ideas on what to look for would be helpful as the nearest suzuki dealer (or bike shop at all) is a long way from where i live
