loss of power going down the road then cut out completly and will not start again, seems like engine will not turn over, all electrics working and starter is fine. any ideas what this could be..???

loss of power going down the road, and it eventually died after going about 1 mile down the road.
engine wont turn over,

Half a tank of fuel
oil was fine,
starter fine.
