Suzuki 80 lt problems?

I just bought a Suzuki 80 lt quad, i couldnt get the starter to go, it just made a clicking noise at the solenoid,. i then got a car battery and connected the live directly to the starter and grounded it of the frame, i could hear the starter turn but very slowly barely turning the engine, i then removed the starter from the quad and connected it to the battery and the cog on it turns very very slowly, am i right in saying that its buggered?? I intent to refurbish the whole quad to make it run like new again for my daughter, is there anywhere in Ireland that i can buy new parts for these? I want to replace all electrical parts with new ones - stator, cdi and solenoids etc, would i be doing ok to change all these? Thanks in advance guys any help and info will be much appreciated, also is there any repair manuals for these and were do i get them..... thanks
