Suzuki 400 Wiring Problem?

I have a LTZ 400, it had some lights wired straight into the brake light cable, one of the lights got damaged and it shorted, i lost power to the starter, the front light and the rear light,, the fuse on the starter relay had blown so i replaced it, ive now got lights and a starter but when i start it it ticks over fine but the slightest rev pops the fuse again, which part of the wiring do i need to change/ inspect, my guess would be the rear light wires, i dont want to delve into wiring unless someone knows what the problem is, thats why ive posted this question, cheers
