Here in IA you cannot be citated twice for the same thing in a 24 hour period. A while back I observed an officer pull in front of our house. He was in his car a good 20 minutes before he got out and slid a pair of tickets under my sons windshield for expired plates. Interestingly enough they were dated 1 week apart. Other than the fact that IF a ticket was issued a week prior, it wouldn't have gone unnoticed......But here;s where it get's interesting. 1 ticket's number was 7083047 and the other was7083046...1 digit difference. So the million dollar question is.........What's the chances that the issuing officer didn't issue any other tickets out of his ticket book from the time the first ticket was supposedly written to 1 week later when supposedly the 2nd ticket was written? My guess slim TO NONE
