hi, i have case with backpain c/c pain in left l/l gluteal, left paraspinal and lateral calf region.earlier understood as chronic multiple muscle starin, treated with swd, ultrasonics and mild strecthing and TENS,pain has little or no relief though knee extension range has increased after MET technique and streching.now pain is concentrated over left SI joint...and gluteal area,,i suspect a SI Dysfuntion...how can i confirm findings and plan treatment,,

My neurosurgeon sent me to pain management Dr. for an injection into the sacroiliac joint...to see if the injection would block the pain. In my case..it stopped the pain in my back/leg/foot & best of all the little toe. I was told that it was a diagnostic injection for the diagnosis of SI joint problem. I will be going for a standing MRI in the near future...and then sent to another Dr. who specialized in SI joint problems.
