I think that's fantastic. You have the foundation of friendship and now can build love on that. What a perfect relationship! It happened to me in high school. I adored him. He was a great friend and I loved him for many years. We did not turn into something long term, but we shared a special friendship/love for many years.

yeah that happeend to me!
i woke up one day and went OMGSH, it actually hit me that i liked my guy friend
then it got akward because i would always tense up when i spoke to him
he doesnt even know yet...
