Warning: This is a a question related to dating...you don't have to answer if you don't want to. lol
My friend Kelly and I are having an argument about a guy named Jake.
I was friends with Jake. Jake and I liked each other but he hadn't asked me out, and I really liked him but was too nervous to ask him out. I'm pretty shy.
Another guy, Paul, asked me out and now we are together. Right after I started seeing Paul, Jake suddenly dropped out of sight and I didn‘t see him again. I haven’t seen him since. It’s been several months. Jake is around, people have seen him. I just haven’t seen him at all. Before I started going out with Paul, Jake and I had been hanging out more often. He got flirty and hung out with me and my friends more. Right around when I started seeing Paul, I didn't see him anymore.
My friend Kelly thinks Jake really liked me and probably wanted to ask me out, and when I started seeing Paul, he got upset or hurt and now he’s staying away.
I don't know...I think he doesn’t like me that much and doesn’t care what I do, and it must be a coincidence. I'm not comfortable calling and asking him.
Kelly thinks all the evidence basically says she's got the right idea.
Which one of us is right?
