Surround sound stereo help?

I just moved into a condo and it has a built in surround sound system in the walls. There are speaker wire hookups in the wall for the system. Is there a way to connect the TV and the system without having to buy a receiver? Or a cable that has RCA on one side and speaker wire on the other end? I have searched around but could not find anything. Thanks for you help
