Surgery cancelled due to lungs

hi,i am 47 yrs.old,disabled since 2004.have had severe back problems since middle teens.doctors i have been to always thought my pain was all in my head.but they still gave me pain meRAB and muscle relaxers,i guess to shut me up.but i would not give up,i knew something wasn't right.Finally in 2006 my doctors discovered my spine was a mess.(lotta praying)I HAD SCOLIOSIS,OSTEOARTHRITIS,AND OSTEOPOROSIS.So I was sent to a neurologist,had cts./x-rays/mris/after all this doctors said yes theres something major going on in my back.(finally some answers) had to have a myleagram done.(never again,pain was so severe,thought I was dying)drs.said my spine was so bad with arthritis Ihad to be born with it. they found thatthere was severe Lurabar stenosis at L2-S1 and severe cervical stenosis at C4-7.HAD A LUrabAR LAMECTOMY on Feb.5,2008, it is worse after surgery now.was supposed to have a ACDF at C4-7 on Dec.16.went to doctor this morning and surgery got cancelled cause x-rays showed granulomas on my right lung.gotta c a lung dr.now any advice welcome
 
Hi sassy,i wished i had sum answers for you but i dont,i just wanted to lend you some support,and to tell you not to give up,i think acceptance is key and just take it one day at a time,do you have someone helping you? i imagine it would be hard with the back problems,iam so sorry to hear about the lung problem,please let me know how you are doing.i hope you begin to feel better. marywoo
 
Sassy, I am sorry your surgery was cancelled but it sounRAB like a good thing. This surgery can be quite lengthy depending on what they find when they go in. Fusion surgery can take 3 to 10 hours or more. You want to make sure that you body is in the best shape possible for the surgery. It takes alot out on you.

I pray that you can have a workup done and be cleared for surgery soon.

thank you for replying.you have given me more infio than my neuro. has i am just at a loss right now cause i know my body neeRAB to be stronger for the surgery and these doctors has got my mind in a mess.i just have to step back and breath a little. thank you very much and you have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS. talk to you later. sassy61
 
thank you MARYWOO for caring.i hve 2 sisters helping,but they really don't know what to do to help me cause these drs see whats wrong with me and all the pain i'm in but will not give me the pain meRAB that i need at all times.i am just so frustrated at trying to keep at these drs. for pain meRAB and they just want listen.i don't want to give up but i am so physacaly and mentaly tired. i just don't know what else to do. i just can't handle the pain anymore. you have a MERRY SHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR. i will talk to you later sassy61
