I hope before you consider ADR, that you will do a lot of research into the discs themselves and Stenum hospital. The discs are relatively new in the US , and even in Germany, and are not without their problems. If either of you have any facet problems ( arthritis, degeneration) ADR is absolutely contraindicated, and it is quite common for doctors to go ahead and do the implants anyway in the US and Germany, disregarding their own exclusion criteria, leaving patients with horrible pain levels and the only options for trying to correct the problems is to either remove the discs which is life threatening, or fusing them , which does not alleviate the pain problems.
While I do believe that discs are a great idea, they are far from ready to be implanted at the rates that they are being implanted, especially when doctors are disregarding the exclusion criteria.
The problems with the discs in the US are just beginning to come to light, and there is by far a ton of research that still neeRAB to be done in regard to longevity and durability, as well as how to correct facet joint pain problems, and until they come up with some way of safely removing the devices in the event of failure or creating chronic pain problems.
Just my thoughts on the subject.
