supermono

so im doing some research on the supermono, and am curious as to what you guys would want in a new modern supermono. first i figure this would be a serious race bike, but

a) would you care if it was street legal
b) what displacement would you want the engine to be
c) what if any race classes would you like it to race in
d) what specific features would you like, example adjustable triples, flip up levers, reverse shifter, etc
and what would be the highest price you would pay for such a bike
anyways, i think question c is pretty interesting that would really dictate alot of the bike, especially engine displacement. be imaginitve with your answers and have fun with it, build the bike in your mind and let me know what you would like to see on a new superthumper.

a) not really but would be a bonus. Just means you have to go through all the legal shit to get it registered don't you? Emissions, lights etc. Might not be worth it. Look at Rolands Sand's 450 supersingle.

b) I reckon a 600 or 650 single would be good. But the 450 4 strokers make pretty good power these days don't they? Power to weight would be the most important factor in this class wouldn't it? The lightest motor for the most power output?

c) I don't care. I wouldn't race. I'd just like a good light weight budget thumper to do fast laps on at track days, that wouldn't cost a fortune to do an engine rebuild on.

d) the more features the better. I'd be wanting Ohlins front and rear, good chassis, adjustable triples, rear ride adjustment, adjustable steering angle, although that's a big ask for a budget project, and something that you can bolt the best performing motor of the day into, that is going to handle really well. A kit perhaps like the RSD 450.

is the wera 450 class popular where you are i wasnt even aware it was there, is the supermono class available there? i know in europe the 450 singles have been introduced a little while ago but not sure how competitive they are as I dont really follow the series. I was surprised tho that in super mono raceing the displacement limilt is 850cc, wow! andd the min weight limit is 95kg that would be a serious combo.

a) would you care if it was street legal.
No, but that will be a big bonus.
b) what displacement would you want the engine to be
Half a 1098R Engine!
c) what if any race classes would you like it to race in
depends on the price?
d) what specific features would you like
The bike must not be heavier then 120 Kilogramme and must have at least 120 horsepower or more! And a good balance. (

ok interesting here is a couple of more things i would like to know what is the highest price you would pay for the bike you discribed and would you prefer it to look more like a 1198 or a sedicci, or would you like it to look like somethingcompletely different from the current ducati line up?

ive checked that design out a little while ago, i think it was a nice first effort but alot of the details dont make a lot of sense to me, but i do think it looks pretty cool

Price in not a problem, the market is the problem where the bike will be places in.

I like when it looks like a Supermono!!!
These photograph look in there own way like a Supermono.
