Ok I bought a Superships Flashpaq 1865 for my 2005 Ford Ranger EDGE 3.0L and I put the performance quick tune on it and it was a lot smoother through the rpm range and the shift pressure was noticeably higher. But I wanted to raise the speed limiter and change settings for tire size so I went to advanced tuning and raised the limiter, changed my tire size, and raised the shift points for the transmission.
With this it should have shifted at about 6k rpm but I got to about 5800 and the engine just fell on its face...I'm assuming that it hit the rev limiter. I changed everything back but I was wondering if anyone had the chance to play with the shift points and shift pressures to get the best results and could post them.
Should the shift pressure be set all the way up to 20lbs? Is that safe for my transmission? And does anyone have tips with setting the shift points? I know I could just go through each one until I find the right setting but that would take forever and use up gas so if someone has it figured out and wouldn't mind sharing it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
