Odd. Last I heard (which was earlier today) JJ Abrams had 'revealed' that the teaser would be in the form of a 70's / 80's style home produced film being made by some teenagers on Super-8 which when they watch back shows an alien. Also that this was a prequel to Cloverfield and was not the colaborative project with Spielberg.

That said, the above sounRAB much better!
