I just got home from college this weekend and decided to get some sun and swim in the pool yesterday. Since the water felt so nice I lost track of time, I ended up getting a lobster burn (I usually put on heavy sunblock but it was still packed). It's all over my legs/arms/stomach/back/bottom. I am swelling at least in my ankles/wrists and am practically fainting from the pain when I try to walk to the bathroom (which is a problem since I'm trying to stay hydrated!!). Last night I was crying hysterically and used two leftover hydrocodone in order to get to sleep and am on another one right now. I'm nearly bedbound and still in pain. Anyone have any advice for how to help the healing process? Any good home remedies? The burns are still hot and I am using aloe gel and drinking lots of water. I'm still a little nauseous especially when I try to walk. Also have headaches and chills so I am thinking its sun poisoning. Please include any sources or thought methods because I am fearful of making the burn worse trying things willy nilly!
