summer reading non-fiction book?

i am in 8th grade looking for a good non-fiction book for summer reading. i have already read Chinese Cinderella and Not without my daughter ( both incredibly sad), but i want a book that is interesting and exciting. NOT the diary of Anne Frank, i have already read that and seen the play. Know any good books? preferably adventure.

oh
and i can read above my level, so it can be a high school book too.
