sulfur for gardening?

i read an answer about gardening & the person mentioned that you can make an organic mixture of sulfur, vegetable oil & soap to spray on the leaves of plants to kill bugs. i wondered where i can buy sulfur & what form would it come in ( i thought maybe powder, but i'm not sure). also, does anyone have any other organic weed or bug killer ideas?
 
I would not use sulfur for killing bugs that is primarily used for fungus control. Organically controlling bugs is living with some damage on plants. If you let the good bugs and birds do there work you should not have a problem. If there is a specific bug your having problems with ask that
