Suggestions on how to deal with bike path etiquette?

You need to calm way way down and consider the fact that there will be pedestrians using the bike path and you cannot treat it as your own personal property and while it's true if you hit her it would hurt her or worse but it would also land you in prison doing time. You need to be more courteous and considerate and SLOW DOWN, that is MUCH too fast; how would you feel if you hit a child and killed it? 15+MPH is TOO FAST. (Recumbent bikes look ridiculous, just my opinion)

I can empathize with you as a Motorist in my Car, I hate it when bicycles are on the road that can't go as fast as the posted speed limite hell, I almost hit those slow in the way little buggers.

I live near the beach and that beach has a designated bike path for bikes. The bike path has three lanes. You can imagine 2 lanes going opposite each other for the bikes and a smaller pedestrian lane lane that is aside it.

Today I took out my new recumbent bike. It easily hits speeds of 15+ miles an hour. I was literally shocked how many pedestrians were walking in the bike path. I hit the top speed of 20 miles an hour and had to literally scream for a woman to get out of my way! True, I could slow down and brake as needed, but this woman was around blind corner and I barely had time to respond. I was yelled at by one photographer who was standing right in the middle of the bike lane I was on. She told me I should stop for her. I told her, that if she got hit by my bike going 15 miles an hour while she stood in my path... she would be the one hurt not me. I don't understand the ignorance of some peoples sense of self entitlement. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO DEAL WITH THIS? I plan on using the bike path, I live nearby and enjoy the scenery, but honestly, short of yelling hey if you want to get hit, stay right where you are!
Dear Spindriff,
I am in a recumbent do to being disabled. Thank you for your input. I think your opinion stinks like the pile of dog poo I ran over.

These are the same people that need to go play on the highway. They are in the wrong lane..period. I suggest you brace yourself and hit them at full speed. Nice thing about bikes? No license plates. When you bike away laugh as they lay there writhing in pain, remember to shout 'Heads up... dumbass'
