So I am needing to upgrade my phone on Telus. My trusty Samsung A540 is acting up after several years. I've stayed with Samsung phones for years because they've always served me well.
I don't really want to be comitted to a $80 data plan, but I would like some of the features a PDA phone has to offer (or as close to one anyway).
Right now I'm on a Talk25 plan, and I share that with my wife lol. Usually we go over the limit, but it's rare for me to get anywhere close to $80.
Hands free/bluetooth would be great while driving the 5spd, so I'll put that on the top of the 'want list' after reliability and clarity.
Next in order of importance... things I would 'like' are:
- an improved text messaging phone i.e qwerty
- Camera would be nice, but I've owned cell phone's since the late 80's and managed to survive without one. Yeah I had one of the original Motorola 'brick' phones - think Miami Vice. You could kill somebody with that 10lb brick. I think it now classified as a lethal weapon lol.
Mainly I want reliability and clarity - everything else is gravy as I mentioned. Did I mention reliability and clarity? Just checking.
I usually stay with Telus on a plan from 2 to 3 years at a time, so I can usually get phones for promotional/contract pricing without it hurting too much $$ wise.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions. Cheers.
