I am unemployed, been that way for three months and counting. I do not get unemployment insurance because I willingly quit my last job. I have relocated to a new city and can't find work. I got an idea tonight while going for a walk that perhaps people would pay me to put christmas lights up, particularly businesses, but also residential homes. I could knock on doors and solicit business and offer to purchase the lights, and string them up around trees, bushes, doorways, for a reasonable fee. I would charge them ,
say, $25 to stringing up lights for work that would probably take an hour, all totaled. The cost of the lights themselves would be extra, unless of course they have their own lights. I notice in my area of South Texas
a lot of places don't have lights. It might be a good way to make rent money. Any opinions or sugguestions, please? Thank you.
