suggestions for decorating my room?

My room is really boring and i want a change. Its got light green walls, an off white sort of creamy carpet, white skirting boards, doors and a built in wardrobe which goes across a whole wall so storage isnt a problem. I've got an ensuite door in the middle of another wall. Its a pretty small room, not tiny but not big either. I've got light colorued wooden funiture, i've got a king single bed with yellow covers, a bookcase and a desk. I've got a light purple coloured lamp and alarm clock.

So what i want to do is paint it and get a rug and chair for my desk but i want to pick a colour for the walls before i do that.

I want it light, airy and simple. Suggestions for colourscheme and other stuff?
