I realized I needed to drop about 45 lbs., so I bought a gym membership and have been working out 5 times a week for the past two months. I know that eating 5-6 times a day is now recommended, and I heard that using meal replacements is a good way to take up 1-2 of those meals. I personally like the EAS Myoplex shakes and have been drinking two of those a day.
My problem is, I don't know what to eat for the other meals. Should I still aim for 2k calories? I originally tried drinking the meal replacements for breakfast and lunch, and eating fruits for my snacks but by the time dinner got around, I was stuffing my face. In the mornings, after my workouts, I get very hungry.
I would really appreciate some guidelines and help. If it helps, I usually do an hour of cardio every day, followed up by 30 minutes of different exercises (weight lifting, pushups, abs, that sort of thing).
