suggest me a story or online news site?

well on my writing for media class i got to find a news on the same subject that has been reported in three separate media (online, television, newspaper). well it's perfectly clear, but one thing is I can't distinguish difference between online and newspaper. And I can't even find a online news ( written specifically for web) all I find (etc, google news) is a portal of news written by newspapers.
Can any1 clarify me plz.
 
If you have enough time ... go to yahoo and set up a news alert.

pick key words to search for, and every day, yahoo will send you pages of news stories related to your topic ... some are newspaper reprints or TV, but there are always on-line only sources, too.

If you are not too general, you will can get a dozen or more stories from all of the 3 sources that you need in the same e-mail.
