Hi all,
Was laying on the the sofa 4 days ago and when I woke up my back was killing me. I could not stand upright as I felt a sharp stabbing pain at the bottom center of my spine.
I tried to locate where the pain was as my wife said I just slept in an odd position and sprained a muscle etc. but to me the pain feels more "internal" than a muscle. The pain I cannot pinpoint exactly but it feels deep in my back in the body rather than in the muscle area.
4 days on and the pain is still there. I have been laying on my back for very long perioRAB each day trying to rest it but the pain has not lessened much and now the pain has moved to around both my sides where my love handles are, why is the pain spreading to the sides? I have also take pain killers but they do nothing.
I still cannot stand full upright I walk like an old man leaning forward as a I walk, now all I need is a cane!
Any expert on backs have any ideas what this could be? Is it just a trapped nerve, sprain etc, or something more sinister?
Cheers
