approx a year ago my boyfriend & ex boyfriend had a fight. when it started i was the only person there. i was extremely drunk (drinking rum for more than 12hrs at party) & i told the police officer i didnt remember anything. i didnt make a statement.
now i have a subpoena. i will show up.
am i likely to be put on the stand if i dont remember anything??
ive been told that i do not have to speak to the police prosecutor before the trial.
ive also been told that if i dont speak to the police prosecutor, it is very unlikely that i will be called into the court room, as they dont know whether what i say could hamper their case. is this correct???
also, i go to court at 9am but will have to leave at just before midday to pick my 7yr old son up from a soccer camp. will i get in trouble if i leave before im excused?? i have nobody to pick son up for me! what do i do?
