suboxone

i am on 30 mg of methadone. i am switching next week to suboxone. i asked my dr about subutex so the withdrawl is not as bad. he said there was no difference. what is the least amount of days i can wait to take the suboxone after stopping the methadone.

im not sure but i think i read that the dose just neeRAB to be low ,not sure though the md can tell you, a friend of mine is getting good results from suboxone , he was on heroin an just needed to be off for 8 hrs , its like 4 to 72 hrs depending on the med or drug , cr takes longer , some mRAB only say 24 hrs , i am sure dose plays a role to , good luck, an ask the doc , or research suboxone
 
Your doctor or pharmacist should be able to answer your question about the when to take it.
 
My doctor told me the switch from Suboxone to Methadone is pretty straight forward - stop taking Sub, start Methadone right away, however switching from Methadone to Sub is much harder (getting the right dosage, decreasing the meth and increasing the Sub) so you'd be better off asking your doctor directly.
