Hello. First time doing this. I was on Hydro's for a few years under the care of a M.D.. Kept running out before time to get new Rx and would have to find more on the streets to get by. You know the routine... After several months of this I knew that I needed to do something before it was too late. I talked to my M.D. about the pills not lasting, His answer was to change drugs or give me more! So, of course I let him give me more.:( About 3/4 of the way through my script I decided to wean myself down. BAD mistake. I stuck it out through withdraw for 7 days but the symptoms were getting worse and I couldn't do it anymore! Ended up on methadone at a treatment center. Maxed out at 50mg, my choice. Did this down to 30mg over an 8 month period. Switched to Suboxone after reading that it was easier to w/d from sub. than methadone. Only went up to 6mg of suboxone. I knew that the more I took, the longer it would take to be done with the whole mess! Weaned down and off of suboxone 12 days ago. I really thought that I would be done with the w/d symptoms by now! I'm still feling EXTREMELY fatigued in the morning and late at night. Still very anxious with hot and cold chills. Sneeze all of the time. It's better if I keep busy. I have forced myself to continue working the entire time! This helps throughout the day, but the minute I get home it starts in. WHY is this and can I do anything about it? Makes my efforts seem meaningless sometimes. I still crave that feeling of "everything's going to be ok" when the hydro's kicked in! HELP! Thanks!

After detoxing you can get PAWS(Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome) please look this up on the internet.
It is important to exercise to get your endorphins working again. That is why you feel better when you are busy doing work.Push yourself to exercise even taking walks will help. So sorry your going thru this but it will get better.
PAWS can continue for up to a year after you are sober but usually the symptoms get less and less over time. Use L-Tyrosine or 5-HTTP to help reboot your brain receptors. Get this a any vitamin store.
I am currently using Suboxone to taper off pain meRAB. I received lots of info at the forum I am on. This was one topic they talk about.

SounRAB like you are having a tough time....I hope you can stick it out and remeraber why you got here. I just started suboxone yesterday and am not feeling quite completely better from the opiates I was previously taking (up to 30 pills or more a day).....hydros, norcos, oxys...whatever I could get.....
Stick it out, you have already come soooooo far! I need some inspiration....and knowing you made it thiis far gives me hope!
