Hello: If this issue/info. helps, I would be very grateful to help a fellow chroni pain sufferer--who is fed up with taking a pain pill just to wake up and feel normal:
Briefly, I was admitted on 12/8 to 12/22; since my p/t for my knee surgery was going well, and not having difficulty with extreme pain. I made an agreement with my PCP and Psychiatrist, that we would taper me down from 4 Pcet/day to just 2/day & then go into hospital to Detox; Well, I should have done more research! 2 days after I was discharged, and took my final dose on 12/22; I started to get tired on Christmas with my famlly; then the next few days until today, were like H**ll !
My nurse printed me out a Profile on Suboxone; and it was only till yesterday; that I reallly took a good look at it, and to my astonishment, it says, ' that the patient should be graduallly/ carefullly weaned off the suboone' And also at night; shile sleeping you can have hallucinations; & when I was into Day2 of my Detox, I was having these symptoms at night; and then he dropped me down by 1/2 the dosage(approx= 3 2mg tabs, 2s/day) & I could tell that I was not feeling well; So, my Doctor, rushes me out/ before Christmas, & not informing me of the possibilityof having any mre Detox symptoms; And when I woke up had the runs, and fulll blsown Detox symptoms this AM; I wnet to his office, he was on vaation, wo I wne to the ER of the Hospital I was treated at, and my U/A and blood showed no optiates & blod Labs. were fine
I JUST WANTED THE ER DOC, & MY TREATING PSYCHTRST. TO ANSWER THE SIX MILLION $$ QUESTION, "HOW ON EARTH, COULD I BE IN FULL BLOWN DETOX, AFTER GOING THRU THE SUBOXONE PROTOCOL, AND BEING 1 WEEK SINCE I WAS DISCHARGED, WITH JUST MY TYLENOL & ALLEVE FOR MY KNEE SURGERY; AND PENDING BACK SURGERY? NOONE GAVE ME A LOGICAL, RATIONAL ANSWER!
SO, NOW I FEEL AS THOUGH I WASTED 2 weeks of my Health Insurance, time lost wages, etc.; Does anyone who has taken any optiates (e.g Pcet, V-ES) & went thru the Suboxone Detox Protocol; Have the same story? Or similar experience? I would greatly appreciate it!
