submit form in html?any help please?

i am building a website for the first time and i am stuck with one thing.i created a form in which people will enter their information and i created a button "SUBMIT AND PROCEED TO STEP TWO"..i am creating this website using dreamweaver.
i dont know how to make that button collect the information on the page and send it directly to my email adddress.
does anyone know how to do this,please?
 
Do not use mailto:, it requires the end user to actually send the mail, and most people resent it.

Pay $12 per year to http://www.formmail.com and they will take all the work out of this for you.
