I'm sorry but I fail to see what the big hubbub is all about. Why would you want to bury crap DEEPER into a folder subset? One of the things I hate about WM is the fact that there's so many levels of folders to dig through.

I can't imagine why you'd want things that many clicks away.

This allows me to organise my installation folder into different categories. Also, I have set it up so that I don't need to do a lot of scrolling in the menu. That's fewer clicks and a little less time right there.

I kinda like using the keypad to start applications rather than scrolling to them and clicking.

So I'm a little happier.

Lol, true. I've always set my menus up so that I have at most an extra row of icons, so I have little scrolling. I dunno, I just don't see the point. But to each his own.

I'm trying to think of a use for it as well, and I'm coming up short. I remember I had a use for it in the past, but I can't remember what that use was at all now.

Fantastic find. To y'all who feel the need to say "there's no use to me", wonderful -- glad we know how you feel. Don't be so negative, I for one think this is a great hack. Everyone organizes in their own style, and I don't like more that one screenful of icons at a time on handset.

Your reply to not being negative is a negative statement about the usefulness of this hack. (not being serious, just messing around)

EDIT: bad me. the above are taken from tfd.com.

Technically, the fewer the icons that are display at every level, the faster it is to display these... So, theoretically, this should increase response times when browsing your menu.
e.g. Windows, especially if you have a trillion desktop icons.
