Subaru vs Toyota????????????

I'm 15 and I'm wondering which car to get.....I've narrowed it down to either a toyota or a subaru.....I live at 7k feet elevation and it snows ALOT....I want something that is cheep to fix and good on gas mileage since I won't have a great job.
If you could help that'd be great
 
Subaru depending on the model offers a good all wheel drive system, but Toyota is more fuel efficient, but not by too much.

Subaru Forester(suv,wagon)
Subaru Outback(wagon)
Toyota Land Cruiser(large suv)
