I am in the market for a new "used" car. I am looking into Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited and Mazda 6i, either 2007 or 2008. I research around and noticed that both have almost same "real-world" gas mileage. The Subaru costs a little more than Mazda, I can get a 2007 Legacy for around 17k with under 20k miles and can get a 6 for around 15k with under 20k. The only issue for me that Mazda cost more to insure for some reason. Cant figure out why, Subaru has bigger engine, more power, more luxury costs a little more, yet its cheaper to insure.
Which one will you guys recommend? I am a fan of Mazdas and had quite a few Mazdas and was very happy with them, but over all I have heard that Subaru Legacy are even better than Mazdas.
Pros of Subaru are, of course, 4WD, leather interior, climate control, bigger boxer engine, more power and torque, Mazda do not have any of these except Traction Control and cheaper price.
