Lewis has shared some great information on using google talk in this thread-> http://blackberryforums.rabroad.com/3466-msn.html
I have been using google talk to chat with my msn/aim/yahoo/google/icq contacts for months now and without problems.
you shouldnt be charged for blackberry messenger thats based on pin messaging which uses data...I also learned the hard way using the OZ clients from TMO that they were based on sms but then downloaded yahoo messenger (it uses data) from mobile.blackberry.com and chatted up a storm.
does anybody know when/how you can update your version of yahoo messenger (the one from mobile.blackberry.com) or do you have to wait until they upgrade it
The one listed on mobile.blackberry.com should always be the latest availble for your BlackBerry. If it's a later version, just delete the one on your BB and install the new one.
Just wanted to confirm that I did geet the yahoo messenger from mobile.blackberry.com and I have checked my bill. No sms charges for this one, thanks much!
MMS is included with the text messaging packages that tmo has. It is text, picture, video, and IM. 400 for 4.99, 1000 for 9.99, and unlimited 14.99 each month.
I was wondering if you are using the yahoo messenger from mobile.blackberry.com and chatting with someone from a different country will it still be free (I'm on t-mo 19.99 unlimted data plan) or will you be charged an international rate
