stupid gears of war 2 online i got a penalty which i did not even do anything?

why did i get a penalty i did not even do anything i got a -500 and my score is 1000 something . why do you even get penalty when in fact i did not even do anything ? why am i getting penalty /
 
If u lose the game u lose points..or if u quit a game the next game you get on you will lose points.
