Studying abroad affecting graduation year?

So, I'm thinking about studying abroad next year, (i'll be a junior in high school), and I don't think I'll get any academic credit. That probably means I'll graduate a year after I was supposed to when I started. Will this affect my chances of getting into a good college? Do most people graduate late if they study abroad for a year? If you've done a high school exchange program, any help and advice is greatly appreciated.
