Study economics or law?

You can't really study law in college (only grad school), so the real question is whether you should major in economics or some other subject as an undergrad. You can get government and business jobs with an econ major, plus it's helpful in getting into law school because it's known as a tough major. I suppose it might be helpful, too, if you decide to go for an MBA after graduation rather than a law degree.

I know that I want to study economics or law in college (law of course in graduate school), but I'm not sure which. Could you please give me the pros of one of these areas of study? I know law is probably a more "practical" choice but I want to give each a fair chance.
