Student loan garnishment/Auto Stay/Discharged Bankruptcy?

I was having my wages garnished from a private company because my student loans had went into default and sent to a collection agency. Unfortunately, I had to file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. After this filing, the garnishment was stayed/stopped.

First of all, I know that student loans are not dischargeable through bankruptcy. Please don't tell me that; I know.

What I want to know is:

After the discharge of the bankruptcy, will the garnishment continue exactly as pre-filing or will I have a chance to make regular, voluntary payments?

How long after the discharge will this occur?

Please don't tell me to pay my bills and then I wouldn't have this problem. You don't know me.

Please don't tell me to contact the company and speak to them about this. Obviously I know that is an option. I am not trying to be rude, but too many people say stupid things just to earn a few points on here.

Thank you in advance for your help! Best answer will be awarded.
